The password supplied in the sector of data transferred shall be compared with the stored password. If the password compare fails, the device returns command aborted and decrements the Unlock counter, and remains in the Set Max Lock state. On the acceptance of the SET MAX LOCK command, the Unlock counter is set to a value of five. When this counter reaches zero, then SET MAX UNLOCK command returns command aborted until a power cycle. If the password compare matches, then the device makes a transition to the Set Max Unlocked state and all SET MAX commands will be accepted. The READ NATIVE MAX ADDRESS command is not executed just before this command. The command is the SET MAX ADDRESS command if it is the command just after the READ NATIVE MAX ADDRESS command is executed. C141-E120-02EN 5-49

SET MAX UNLOCK (FR = 03h)

defines the contents of SET MAX ADDRESS password.

If the password compare fails, the device returns command aborted and
