• N_Port Trunking support for Brocade HBAs: ◦ Used in conjunction with Brocade HBAs with Fabric OS 2.3.0 (and later) software to allow two physical 8 Gb/s links to be combined into a single logical 16 Gb/s link. ◦ Requires Brocade Trunking and SAO licenses to be installed on the Fabric OS-based switch to which the Brocade HBA is connected. • DCBX Application Protocol Type Length Values (TLV) support: ◦ Enables priority mapping and announcement of support for this mapping to attached devices for iSCSI protocol traffic over DCB links on the HP StorageWorks 2408 FCoE Converged Network Switch (Brocade 8000). NOTE: For switches shipped from the factory with 6.3.1a Fabric OS and later installed, the following default characteristics of the switch were revised: • Virtual fabrics are enabled by default. See the Fabric OS Administrator's Guide for 6.4.0 for information on the configuration of VF. The following switches support virtual fabrics: ◦ DC SAN Backbone director (DCX) ◦ DC04 SAN director (DCX-4S) ◦ 8/40 SAN Switch (5100) ◦ 8/80 SAN Switch (5300) • Increase maximum logins per port to 255 Update recommendation All products supported by Fabric OS 6.0.x can be upgraded to Fabric OS 6.4.1b, with the exception of the following switches: • HP StorageWorks 4/8 SAN Switch • HP StorageWorks 4/16 SAN Switch • Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch for HP p-Class BladeSystem • Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch for HP c-Class BladeSystem If applicable, HP recommends that you upgrade to Fabric OS 6.4.1b as soon as possible to take advantage of the latest fixes and features. N_Port Trunking support for Brocade HBAs

Used in conjunction with Brocade HBAs with Fabric OS 2.3.0 (and later) software to
allow two physical 8 Gb/s links to be combined into a single logical 16 Gb/s link.
Requires Brocade Trunking and SAO licenses to be installed on the Fabric OS-based
switch to which the Brocade HBA is connected.
