User sees SNMP-1008 messages indicating that the last device change occurred at HH:MM:SS, but no thresholding event indicating the count is above the threshold. Backup/restore job fails with invalid record ID with FICON tape read extension. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0c. Workaround prior to upgrade: Disable or do not enable FICON emulation for tape jobs. Path not brought online after path deactivation and reactivation in a large heavily-loaded FICON Tape Emulation configuration. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0c. Workaround prior to upgrade: When FICON path control blocks are stuck at invalid state, disable the tunnel. If issues are occurring with FICON emulation and ESCON devices, disable FICON emulation. In the case of the failed tape job, resubmit it. Emulation error 60 seen during FICON read tape emulation (attention status). Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0c. Table 13 Fabric OS 6.4.1 closed defects Closed defect summary Solution In a dual Inter-fabric Link (IFL) FCR fabric with LSAN Matrix configured and Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.1. LSAN binding enabled, disabling the EX_Port for one of the IFLs causes all FCR devices to be removed from the name server database. The Tape REC command fails in an FCR environment because the originator Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.1. source ID in the header and in the body of the TAPE REC command frame do not match, resulting in data corruption on the tape. One or more fans go into a faulted state on the HP StorageWorks DC SAN Backbone Director Switch even though the fans are operating properly. Functional fans are improperly flagged as bad with error code [PLAT-5042], FAN I2C reset messages in the Raslog. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.1. 66
