70 HP IP Console Switch User Guide When the HP IP Console Switch discovers a cascaded HP KVM Server Console Switch the port numbering changes automatically to accommodate each server under that console switch. For example, if the console switch is connected to port 02, the switch port is listed as 02, and each server under it is numbered sequentially 02-01, 02-02, and so on. However, when a HP IP Console Switch discovers a cascaded Compaq Server Console Switch, you must select the number of ports on the Compaq Server Console Switch through the Device Modify dialog box.
