Glossary alarm AL_PA American National Standard Code for Information Interchange American National Standards Institute ANSI API application application client application program application program interface arbitrated loop (1) A notification of an abnormal condition within a system that provides an indication of the location or nature of the abnormality to either a local or remote alarm indicator.
