Factory Default Values 3 Factory Default Values McDATA products on a SAN have pre-set, default configuration values that were set in the factory. The items that have factory-set default values are: • Passwords (customer and maintenance-level) • Internet Protocol (IP) address • Subnet mask • Gateway address The specific default values associated with a particular product are documented in the installation and service manual for the product. Configuring Ports To configure ports, there are three pages: • Basic Information-Enables you to configure basic aspects of a port. The port's name, blocked status, Fabric Address Notification (FAN) status, type and speed of a port. • Rx BB Credit-Enables you to configure receive BB_Credits for a port. • NPIV-Enables you to configure and enable NPIV functionality for a port. Configuring Basic Port Information The Basic Information page enables you to configure basic aspects of a port. The port's name, blocked status, FAN status, type, and speed are configured using this page. NOTE: If you are going to change the Speed parameter on a 64-Port Director, set the product offline. To set the product offline, clear the Switch Online check box on the Configure menu. Use the following procedure to set configure basic port information: 1. Factory Default Values
McDATA products on a SAN have pre-set, default configuration
values that were set in the factory. The items that have factory-set
default values are:
