9. Click again on Ungrouped Disks. Click on each disk and then click Group in the right pane. Select the new disk group that was just created to add that disk into it. Click Save after you have done this for each disk. 10. Close Command View and open EZPilot Manager. Click on the storage array in the discovery tree and click Physical Disks in the right pane. All drives on both the first and second disk shelves will now be listed and available for LUN allocation. Adding New Disks to the Existing Default Disk Group All of the new disks must be of the same type (FC or FATA) as those in the default disk group. There is no minimum number of disks to be added to the existing default disk group which already has the minimum 8 disks that are needed. To add the new disks to the existing default disk group: 1. Close EZPilot Manager on the management server and power down the EVA4100. 2. Add the new shelf and associated disk drives to the EVA and the controllers' drive loops. Follow the instructions in the EVA User Guide, which can be found on the HP Web site. 3. Power on the EVA4100. 4. Modify a Windows account to make it a member of the HP Storage Admins group if this has not already been done. 5. Run Command View on the management server. To do this, double-click on the desktop Command View EVA icon and log in to Command View using the Windows account that is a member of the HP Storage Admins group. 6. In the left pane of the Command View Web page, click on the array name under Storage Systems to expand the tree of array properties. 7. In the tree, click the Disk Groups folder to expand it. Then click the Ungrouped Disks folder. You should see all of the new disks from the second shelf. 8. Click on each drive in the left pane and then click Group in the right pane. Select the default disk group to add that drive into the existing default disk group. Click Save after you have done this for each drive. 9. In the left pane, click Default Disk Group again. In the right pane there is a status indicator called Leveling Progress. Use the button provided to refresh this information until it reads "100%" and is complete. 10. Close Command View and open EZPilot Manager. Click on the storage array in the discovery tree and click Physical Disks in the right pane. folder to expand it. Then click the
Ungrouped Disks
folder.
You should see all of the new disks from the second shelf.

Click on each drive in the left pane and then click
Group
in the right pane. Select the default disk
group to add that drive into the existing default disk group. Click
Save
after you have done this
for each drive.

In the left pane, click
Default Disk Group
again. In the right pane there is a status indicator
