Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 30). 5. Remove the service door (see Service door on page 32). 6. Remove the wireless module compartment cover (see WLAN module on page 39). Remove the RTC battery: 1. Use a flat-bladed, non-metallic tool (1) to release the RTC battery from the socket on the system board. 2. Remove the RTC battery (2). 3. Remove the RTC battery. Reverse this procedure to install the RTC battery. When installing the RTC battery, make sure the "+" sign faces up. Component replacement procedures 41
