Audio board NOTE: The audio board spare part kit does not include an audio board cable. The audio board cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 693306-001. Description Audio board Spare part number 693351-001 Before removing the audio board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 45), and then remove the following components: a. Service cover (see Service cover on page 47) b. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 48) c. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 51) d. WWAN module (see WWAN module on page 53) e. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 58) f. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 63) Remove the audio board: 1. Turn the base enclosure right side up, with the front toward you. 2. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.7 screw (1) that secures the audio board to the base enclosure. 3. Before removing the audio board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the

Remove the audio board:
1.
Turn the base enclosure right side up, with the front toward you.
2.
Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.7 screw
(1)
that secures the audio board to the base enclosure.
3.
Lift the right side of the audio board
(2)
until it rests at an angle.
