3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 32). Remove the power button board: 1. Disconnect the cable from the reverse ZIF connector on the system board (1). 2. Remove the two Phillips screws (2) from the board. 3. Remove the board from the computer (3). To install the power button board, reverse the removal procedure. System board To remove the system board, use this procedure and illustration. NOTE: All system board spare part kits include replacement thermal material. Before removing the system board, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 31). 2. Remove the display assembly (see Display assembly on page 31). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 32). 4. Remove the solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 33). 5.
