1 Introduction to security HP ProtectTools Security Manager software provides security features that help protect against unauthorized access to the computer, networks, and critical data. Administration of HP ProtectTools Security Manager is provided through the Administrative Console feature. Using the HP ProtectTools Administrative Console, the local administrator can perform the following tasks: ● Enabling or disabling security features ● Enrolling their fingerprints and those of other users of this computer ● Enrolling one or more scenes for face authentication ● Setting up a smart card for authentication ● Specifying required credentials for authentication ● Managing users of the computer ● Adjusting device-specific parameters ● Configuring installed Security Manager applications ● Adding additional Security Manager applications Using the Security Manager dashboard, general users can perform the following tasks: ● Configuring options provided by an administrator ● Allowing limited controls of some HP ProtectTools modules The software modules available for your computer may vary depending on your model. HP ProtectTools Security Manager software provides security features that help protect against
