This product qualifies for ENERGY STAR, which is a voluntary program to encourage the development of energy-efficient office products. This easy-to-use, free takeback program is available in over 48 countries/regions. Multilingual program information and instructions are included in every new HP print cartridge and consumables package. HP printing supplies returns and recycling program information Since 1990, the HP printing supplies returns and recycling program has collected millions of used print cartridges that otherwise might have been discarded in the world's landfills. The HP LaserJet print cartridges and consumables are collected and bulk-shipped to our resource and recovery partners who disassemble the print cartridge. After a thorough quality inspection, selected parts are reclaimed for use in new print cartridges.
