TRU64 Enterprise Tape Library Driver Error Logging The ibmatl uses the syslog facility to log the errors. Errors are logged according to the /etc/syslog.conf file. The ibmatl uses the daemon facility for logging errors. Only errors are logged with this facility. For more information about using syslog, refer to your system administration manuals. Daemon Trace Facility The following trace facility is available for the lmcpd daemon: trcatl -[ald] Arguments: -a -l -d (trace all libraries defined in /etc/ibmatl.conf) (name of library) (delete all log files; requires root authority) Examples: trcatl -a >/tmp/trace-out trcatl -l libmgrc7 Note: The -a argument takes precedence over the -l argument. 252 IBM Tape Device Drivers Installation and User's Guide
