Before you can use the remote access and retrieval features, you must set up your own code. The factory default code is the inactive code (---*). 1. Press [Settings] > [All Settings] > [Fax] > [Remote Access]. 2. Enter a three-digit code using the numbers [0] to [9], [*] or [#] using the LCD (the preset '*' cannot be changed), and then press [OK]. • DO NOT use the same code used for your Fax Receive Code (*51) or Telephone Answer Code (#51). • To make your code inactive, press and hold [OK]. to restore the inactive setting (---*), and then press 3.
