NETGEAR Wireless N150 Access Point WN604 Reference Manual Configuring Basic QoS Settings Wi-Fi Multimedia Support (WMM). Wireless Multimedia (WMM) is a subset of the 802.11e standard. WMM allows wireless traffic to have a range of priorities, depending on the type of data. Time-dependent information, such as video or audio, has a higher priority than normal traffic. For WMM to function correctly, Wireless clients must also support WMM. To configure basic wireless QoS settings for 11b/bg/ng and 11a/na: 1. Under the Configuration tab, select Wireless from the main menu, select Basic, and then select QoS Settings from the left panel. The QoS Settings screen displays, as shown in Figure 2-10. Figure 2-10Basic QoS settings screen 2. Wi-FI Multimedia (WMM) is enabled by default. Select the Disable radio button to disable WMM support. 3. WMM Power Save is enabled by default. Configuring Basic QoS Settings

To configure basic wireless QoS settings for 11b/bg/ng and 11a/na:
1.
Under the
Configuration
tab, select
Wireless
from the main menu, select
Basic
, and then
select
QoS Settings
from the left panel. The QoS Settings screen displays, as shown in
Figure 2-10
.

Wi-FI Multimedia (WMM) is enabled by default. Select the
Disable
radio button to disable
WMM support.
3.
WMM Power Save is enabled by default. Select the
Disable
radio button to disable WMM
power save.

Click
Apply
to save your settings
