(E)GPRS, HSCSD and CSD, Using data communications applications

Page 169 highlights

(E)GPRS, HSCSD and CSD You can use the EGPRS (Enhanced GPRS), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), HSCSD (High Speed Circuit Switched Data) and CSD (Circuit Switched Data, GSM data) data services. For availability and subscription to data services, contact your network operator or service provider. Note that the use of HSCSD service consumes the phone's battery more quickly than normal voice or data calls. You may need to connect the phone to a charger for the duration of data transfer. See (E)GPRS modem settings on page 121. ■ Using data communications applications For information on using a data communications application, refer to the documentation provided with it. Note that making or answering phone calls during a computer connection is not recommended as it might disrupt the operation. For better performance during data calls, place the phone on a stationary surface with the keypad facing downward. Do not move the phone or hold it in your hand during a data call.
