SELECTING A DRIVE MODE LEMISIMMMISMIEROMer,a ATENer Self-timer Mode The self-timer mode delays the shutter release, and is useful for taking group shots that include the photographer or when you wish to prevent camera shake for slow speed exposure as closeup or night- scene pictures. The shutter will be released about 2 seconds or 12 seconds after the shutter release button is depressed fully. 1Mount the camera on the tripod. 2 Depress the drive mode button until u or :o2s appears on the LCD panel. When the self-timer is in operation, the self-timer lamp blinks and the rate increases for the last two seconds. k) MEMO Preventing stray light entering the eyepiece • Underexposure may occur if light enters the viewfinder during self-timer or operation. If you intend to move away from the viewfinder, attach the supplied finder cap as shown in the illustration. a.. • When using accessories such as the finder cap, remove the Eyecup FK as illustrated. The Eyecup FK comes from the factory fitted to the camera's viewfinder accessory grooves. The
self
-timer
mode
delays
the
