Linke geotfnete Reil3verschlultseite, wie Abb. 0 zeigt, auflegen. Die Rei8verschlul3zähne stehen etwas Uber die gebugelte Kante. Die Stepprlaht verläuft in der gebugelten Kante. NähfuB in die Mitte schieben, so daB die Nadel ri die mittlere EinstichsOffnung einsticht. Die Reil3verschlul3zähne laufen in der inken Führungsrille rn Ful3 em (Abb. P). Zu Beginn der Naht die Zähne zum Einfuhren in die Führungsrille etwas aufrichten. Naht bis zum Ende nãhen und vernähen, ReiBverschluB schlleBen. Zweite Reiltver schlultseite am Nahtanfang feststecken (Abb. Q) und Rei6verschlul3 öftnen. Die rechte Nahtbreite mit dem ReiBverschluB band nach aul3en drehen, zuvor die Nadel entternen und, wie Abb R zeigt, das ReiBverschlul3band auf der Naht feststecken. Die Reil3verschlu6zähne lau ten nun in der rechten Fuhrungsrille rn FuB em (Abb. S). ReiBverschluf3 fertig einnähen. Das ReiBverschluftband tuB breit aut die Naht steppen. Die Reil3verschlul3zähne laufen au3en am Füh rungssteg entlang (Abb. T). ( Seam-like zipper closure For machine setting see page 42. How the zipper is prepared and inserted: Press the edges of the placket. Fold out the left seam allowance (Fig. N). Place the left side of the open zip in position so that its teeth protrude a little beyond the pressed edge (Fig. 0). The seam is sewn along this edge. Move the zipper foot to the middle so that the needle stitches into the middle opening. The zip teeth run into the left guiding groove in the toot (Fig. P). At the beginning of the seam lift up the teeth a little to teed them into the guiding groove. Sew the seam to the end and secure it. Close zip. Pin other side of zip to material at beginning of seam (Fig. Q). Open zip. Remove the pin, turn out the right seam allowance with the zip tape, and pin the latter to the fabric, as shown in Fig. R. The zip teeth now run into the right guiding groove in the foot (Fig. S). Finish sewing the zip. Now sew down the zip tape, letting the zip teeth run along the guiding edge of the foot (Fig. T). j 44
