Advanced Setup LIST OF SETTINGS Category Video Output HDMI Video Component Output De-interlacing Mode Black Level HD Noise Reduction Menus / Options HDMI 1080p/24 Auto Off • This feature is available only when the display device is connected by an HDMI cable. • Refer to page 45 for more information. HDMI Video Resolution* Auto • This feature is available 480p only when the display 720p device is connected by 1080i an HDMI cable. 1080p • Refer to page 45 for more information. HDMI Deep Color Auto • This feature is available Off only when the display device is connected by an HDMI cable, and when it supports Deep Color feature. 480i 480p 720p 1080i With regard to DVD-video with copy protection, the resolution will be set to 480p regardless of the setting here. If 480p output is not available, 480i will be output. Auto Video On Off On Off Description "Auto": Outputs the picture in 1080p/24 (1080 progressive with 24 frames per second) when it meets all the conditions listed below: • The video resolution and the frame rate of the material is 1080p/24 . • "HDMI Video Resolution" setting is set to "1080p". • The display device supports the 1080p/24 output. "Off": • Outputs the picture in 1080p/60. (60 frames per second, progressive) Sets the resolution of the video signal being output from the HDMI OUT jack. • The selected resolution must also be supported by your TV monitor. Reduces the posterization effect of the playback picture. "Auto": Reduces the posterization effect by automatically outputting up to 36 bit color whenever the unit recognizes the connected display device supports Deep Color feature. "Off": Outputs the standard 24 bit color. Sets resolution for component output picture. • The selected resolution must also be supported by your TV monitor. • Refer also to your TV's manual. • If you have selected the resolution not supported by your TV by mistake and the picture gets disturbed, press and hold [B (play)] on the front panel for 5 seconds to change the setting back to its default. • When HDMI cable is connected, only "480i" and the resolution selected in the "HDMI Video Resolution" will be available. "Auto": Automatically detects film or video content, and appropriately converts it. "Video": Select this option when the picture is distorted when using "Auto". Adjusts brightness to compensate for ambient room light. Reduces noise of the playback picture. "On": Activates Noise Reduction. "Off": Deactivates Noise Reduction. 40 EN
