Setting the Language Options Setting Language and Subtitle Preferences in the Setup Screen Menus The Setup screen Language menu contains a number of settings related to the audio and subtitle language preferences. Please note that changes to the settings in the Language menu in this section cannot be made when a disc is playing. Stop playback of the disc before attempting to make any changes. Selecting an audio language preference Audio1 2 Video Language General OSD Language - English Audio Language EnEgnlgislihsh Subtitle Language - JFarpeanncehse Auto Language - JSapaniesshe DVD Language - wO/tShuebrtitle Language Subtitle Dispaly - On Subtitle Off - Selected Subtitle Move SETUP Exit The audio language that you normally listen to can be selected from the various audio languages on a DVD. Even when the audio language is changed during playback by pressing AUDIO, the language selected at this setting will be selected as the default when the DVD is changed. Selecting a subtitle language preference Audio1 2 Video Language General OSD Language - English Audio Language - English Subtitle Language JEanpgalnisehse Auto Language - EFnrgenlisch DVD Language - Swp/Saunbistihtle Language Subtitle Dispaly - Otnher Subtitle Off - Selected Subtitle Move SETUP Exit The subtitle language that you will normally display can be selected from the subtitles programmed on a disc. Even when the subtitle language is changed during playback by pressing SUBTITLE, the language selected at this setting will be selected when the disc is changed. Selecting a DVD menu language preference Audio1 2 Video Language General OSD Language - English Audio Language - English Subtitle Language Jwa/pSaunbetistlee Language Auto Language - OEnnglish DVD Language EFnrgelnisch Subtitle Display - OSnpanish Subtitle Off - SOetlheecrted Subtitle Move SETUP Exit In addition to containing different audio languages, DVD may also contain menu screens in different languages as well. Setting a DVD language preference, sets the selected language as a default when DVDs with menu information in that language are encountered. Selecting "w/ Subtitle Language" automatically assigns the language selected in the [Subtitle Language] setting.
