Advanced Functions Continuing Playback from a Specified Location (Last Memory) - DVD-Video/Video CD The Last Memory function is convenient when you want to continue viewing a disc from the point where you were watching before. Unlike the resume function, the Last Memory function is effective even if the DVD-Video is removed from the player (Last Memory locations saved for Video CDs are effective only if the disc remains loaded in the player). Some DVD-Videos will start playback automatically when loaded. In this case, press STOP 7 to stop playback. 2 Press LAST MEMORY while the disc is stopped. The disc begins playback at the memorized point. • Last Memory mode may not function for some DVD-Videos. • If you register more than five DVD-Videos, details of the latest disc are memorized, while details of the least recent disc (the disc you registered first) is erased. • Even with a disc you have memorized with Last Memory, playback begins at the start of the disc if you press PLAY 3. • Last Memory may not function correctly during PBC playback of a Video CD. When Last Memory does not operate correctly in this situation, start playback of the Video CD with PBC turned off (page 28). To clear the Last Memory location Call up the Last Memory location by pressing LAST MEMORY during playback. Then press CLEAR while "Last Memory" is still being displayed on the screen.
