GX30 4. Battery does not charge. CONFIDENTIAL Set a battery of 3.8 - 3.9 V and connect the charger. YES Is the mobile light turned on red? YES Set a battery of 4.0 - 4.2 V. Click the "Performance check adjustment" button on SPST. Click the "Temperature adjustment" button. Is the value of "temp" normal? (Measurement tolerance: ± 5 deg.) YES Click the "Battery voltage check" button. Is the voltage 4.0 4.2 V? YES Set a battery of 3.3 - 4.2 V and start in normal mode. CN701 and CN103 are connected improperly, and IC103 is defective. NO NO Does the waveform periodically change between "H" and "L" at R701? YES LED702 of the mobile light is defective. * For settings and connections for SPST, refer to the "ADJUSTMENTS, PERFORMANCE CHECK, AND FIRMWARE UPGRADE" (see page 2-1). NO TH701, TH101, and IC103 are defective. CN701 and CN103 are connected improperly. NO IC103 is defective. Connect the charger to the external connector. Is the voltage applied to TP537 higher than that of battery? YES When the charger is inserted to the external connector, is IC115 pin 1 at "L"? YES Connect the charger to the external connector. After approx. 15 seconds, do the voltages on TP180 and TP520 increase by more than 0.05 V? YES The battery is defective, or the battery cycle is shortened. 5. Vibrator does not work. NO R535, R536, Q108, IC115, and IC103 are defective. NO IC115 is defective. NO R535, R536, Q108, IC115, IC103, D103, and D105 are defec- tive. Are vibrator terminals in contact with the land? Are terminals and the land clean? NO Vibrator is deformed and defective. (When vibrator terminals and the land are dirty, clean or replace them.) Hereafter check with Vibrator working. YES Is rectangular wave of 3 V sent to between Vibrator terminals in sync with the vibration pattern? YES Vibrator is defective. NO Is VBAT voltage applied to IC109 pin 5? NO IC109 is soldered improperly. YES Is signal synchronized with the vibration pattern sent to IC109 pin 1? YES IC109 is defective. NO Is signal synchronized with the vibration pattern sent from IC105 pin 19? YES IC105 is soldered improperly. NO R158, C167 and C168 are defective. Is approx. 3 V applied to IC105 pin 7? YES NO NO R158, C167 and C168 good in appearance and mounted properly? YES IC105 is defective, or the control signal line to IC106 is defective. 2 - 54

CN701 and CN103 are connected improperly, and IC103 is
defective.
Is the mobile light turned on red?
Does the waveform periodically change between “H” and “L”
at R701?
Set a battery of 4.0 - 4.2 V. Click the “Performance check
adjustment” button on SPST.
LED702 of the mobile light is defective.

Click the “Temperature adjustment” button.
Is the value of

TH701, TH101, and IC103 are defective. CN701 and CN103
are connected improperly.
Click the “Battery voltage check” button. Is the voltage 4.0 -
4.2 V?
IC103 is defective.
Set a battery of 3.3 - 4.2 V and start in normal mode.
Connect the charger to the external connector. Is the voltage
applied to TP537 higher than that of battery?
R535, R536, Q108, IC115, and IC103 are defective.
When the charger is inserted to the external connector, is
IC115 pin 1 at “L”?
IC115 is defective.
Connect the charger to the external connector. After approx.
15 seconds, do the voltages on TP180 and TP520 increase by
more than 0.05 V?
R535, R536, Q108, IC115, IC103, D103, and D105 are defec-
tive.
The battery is defective, or the battery cycle is shortened.
