GX30 16. SIM card is not recognized. CONFIDENTIAL Replace the SIM card. Is it recognized? NO YES SIM card is defective or not the one specified. Hereafter, check the signal waveform of each SIM when the power is turned on without a SIM card inserted. (SIM signal waveform appears for approx. 70 ms after the power is turned on.) Is 2.85 V supplied from pins 1, 2, and 6 of the SIM card? And is periodic pulse wave (3.25 MHz) sent from pin 3 of the SIM card? NO Is 2.85 V supplied from CN104 pin 28? YES Is 2.85 V supplied from CN104 pin 30? YES Is periodic pulse wave sent from CN104 pin 31? YES Is 2.85 V supplied from CN104 pin 27? YES CN104 or SD/SIM FPC is defective. YES The contact point of the SIM card connector is deformed or dirty. Replace C210 or C159. NO NO Are C210 and C159 good in appearance and mounted properly? YES IC103 is defective. Replace R195 or C216. NO NO Are R195 and C216 good in appearance and mounted properly? YES IC106 is defective. Replace R164 or C217. NO NO Are R164 and C217 good in appearance and mounted properly? YES IC106 is defective. Replace R163, R249, or C218. NO NO Are R163, R249, and C218 good in appearance and mounted properly? YES IC106 is defective. 2 - 64
