Setup.ini - Concurrent Important information about the setup.ini 1. Be sure to acquire the correct setup.ini for your operating system. The content is the same for both Mac® and PC but the file structure (end of line characters) are not compatible and will not work correctly with the wrong operating system. 2. Use a non-formatting text editor such as Notepad on the PC and TextEdit on the Mac® when updating the setup.ini file. Do not use a word processor such as Microsoft® Word. 3. Check the setup.ini to make sure all the fields are the same in your version as this document. The field and values shown here are accurate with the setup.ini version at the time this document was written, however, there is a possibility that a change may be made in the posted setup.ini before it is reflected in this guide. If you find different fields and it is not clear how to proceed, contact the SSC at education.ti.com/go/softwarecenter before continuing. 4. For Windows® the setup.ini must be in the same directory as the TI-Nspire™ installer executable. On the Mac® the setup.ini must be in the /tmp directory. 5. The content of the setup.ini is the same for volume and concurrent licenses but there are some differences in the fields and values used. This section will discuss the correct values for the concurrent license. 6. If you are using the same setup.ini for multiple products be sure to clear values that do not correspond to the new product. For example, if you first install the Student Software and set the TINSPIRE_SS value to CAS and then later are editing the setup.ini to install the Teacher Software, remember to clear the TINSPIRE_SS value. 34 Installing and Activating TI Software
