CHAPTER 14 Pass Through 14.1 Overview You can set up two types of pass through on the N4100: by device or by web site address. You can set the N4100 to allow specific computers on the LAN (based on the IP or MAC address) to access the Internet without prompting for a user name and password. This feature is useful, for example, if you want to set up computers to provide free Internet access in the VIP room or for sponsors in events. To allow global access to web sites, specify the web site address (by IP address or URL) that any user can access without logging in. This is similar to the walled garden feature, but without displaying the web site link(s) in the subscriber login screen. You have to inform the users about which web sites they can access for free. 14.1.1 What You Can Do in this Chapter Use the Pass Through screen (Section 13.2 on page 120) to specify devices that can have traffic pass through the N4100. 14.2 The Pass Through Screen Click ADVANCED > PASS THROUGH to open this screen.
