Chapter 20 Syslog Table 37 ADVANCED > SYSLOG LABEL DESCRIPTION Server MAC Address Enter the MAC address of the syslog server on the LAN. Syslog Server Select this check box to specify a syslog server on the WAN. on WAN Server 1 IP Enter the IP address of the first syslog server on the WAN in dotted Address decimal notation. Server 2 IP Enter the IP address of the second syslog server on the WAN in dotted Address decimal notation. Send to Email Select Enable to have the N4100 send syslog messages to the e-mail account that you specify. Email Server IP Address or Domain Name SMTP Port E-mail (SMTP) server needs to check my account Username Password Email From Name Email Address Email To Email Address 1,2 Apply Select Disable to not have the N4100 send syslog e-mail messages. Enter the IP address or domain name of the mail server for the e-mail addresses specified below. If this field is left blank, the syslog will not be sent via e-mail. Enter the port number (25, or between 2500 and 2599) for the mail server. The default is 25. Select this check box if your SMTP server requires user name and password authentication before accepting e-mail. Your network administrator, SMTP server provider or ISP should supply the username and password. Enter the username for the SMTP server. Enter the password for the SMTP server. Type a name that you want to be in the "message from" field of the log email message that the N4100 sends. Enter your e-mail address. This is the address others use to send e-mail to Email Address 1/Email Address 2. Enter your first and second e-mail addresses to which the N4100 is to send the syslog e-mails. If you leave these fields blank, logs will not be sent via e-mail. Click Apply to save your changes back to the N4100. N4100 User's Guide 169
