CHAPTER 14 Static Route 14.1 Overview This chapter shows you how to configure static routes for your NBG-417N. This chapter shows you how to configure static routes for your NBG-417N. Each remote node specifies only the network to which the gateway is directly connected, and the NBG-417N has no knowledge of the networks beyond. For instance, the NBG-417N knows about network N2 in the following figure through remote node Router 1. However, the NBG-417N is unable to route a packet to network N3 because it doesn't know that there is a route through the same remote node Router 1 (via gateway Router 2). The static routes are for you to tell the NBG417N about the networks beyond the remote nodes.
