Chapter 21 Sys OP Mode AP An AP extends one network and so has just one IP address. All Ethernet ports on the AP have the same IP address. To connect to the Internet, another device, such as a router, is required. Figure 111 IP Address in AP Mode 21.4 General Screen Use this screen to select how you connect to the Internet. Figure 112 Maintenance > Sys OP Mode > General If you select Router Mode, the following pop-up message window appears. Figure 113 Maintenance > Sys Op Mode > General: Router • In this mode there are both LAN and WAN ports. The LAN Ethernet and WAN Ethernet ports have different IP addresses. • The DHCP server on your device is enabled and allocates IP addresses to other devices on your local network. • The LAN IP address of the device on the local network is set to 192.168.1.1. • You can configure the IP address settings on your WAN port.
