362 UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL WARNING! A hot engine cooling system is dangerous. You or others could be badly burned by steam or boiling coolant. You may want to call an authorized dealer for service if your vehicle overheats. If you decide to look under the hood yourself, see "Maintaining Your Vehicle". Follow the warnings under the Cooling System Pressure Cap paragraph. 13. Gear Selector Status (PRNDL/S) The shift lever status "P,R,N,D,L,/S" are displayed indicating the shifter lever position. Refer to "Starting And Operating." • P = Park • R = Reverse • N = Neutral 14. Engine Temperature Display When the engine temperature gets too high, the temperature icon will change color from light blue • D = Drive • L = Low - If Equipped • S = Sport - If Equipped to red. Oil Change Reset Oil Change Due Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change indicator system. The "Oil Change Due" message will display in the EVIC for five seconds after a single chime has sounded to indicate the next scheduled oil change interval. The engine oil change indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the engine oil change interval may fluctuate, dependent upon your personal driving style.
