OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 89 Stopping the JET SKI Watercraft Normal Stopping: CAUTION Stop the engine before the water is less than 0.8 m (2.5 ft) deep from the seabed to prevent jet pump damage by objects sucked up from the bottom. 3. Press the engine stop button or pull the lanyard key off the stop button to come to a complete stop. j WARNING Never directly approach any moving or stationary object closer than 100 m (328 feet) when traveling at top speed. Always throttle down before approaching your intended stopping area. WARNING Do not shift into reverse to brake the craft, or the watercraft bow may suddenly dive into the water, which can cause injury to the occupants by throwing them forward. Stopping the JET SKI Watercraft
Normal Stopping:
WARNING

or the watercraft bow may suddenly dive into
