Maintenance and Warranty Proper maintenance is necessary to ensure that your vehicle will continue to have low emission levels. This Owner's Manual contains those maintenance recommendations for your vehicle. Those items identified by the Periodic Maintenance Chart are necessary to ensure compliance with the applicable standards. As the owner of this vehicle, you have the responsibility to make sure that the recommended maintenance is carried out according to the instructions in this Owner's Manual at your own expense. You should keep a maintenance record for your vehicle. To assist you in keeping this record, we have provided space at the end of this manual where an authorized Kawasaki dealer, or someone equally competent, can record the maintenance. You should also retain copies of maintenance work orders, bills, etc., as verification of this maintenance. Tampering with Emission Control System Prohibited Federal law prohibits the following acts or the causing thereof: (1) the removal or rendering inoperative by any person other than for purposes of maintenance, repair, or replacement, of any device or element of design incorporated into any new vehicle for the purposes of emission control prior to its sale or delivery to the ultimate purchaser or while it is in use, or (2) the use of the vehicle after such device or element of design has been removed or rendered inoperative by any person. Among those acts presumed to constitute tampering are the acts listed below: Do not tamper with the original emission related parts: Throttle body and internal parts Spark plugs Magneto or electronic battery ignition system Fuel filter/Fuel injector/Fuel pump Air cleaner element Electronic Control Unit (ECU) PLEASE DO NOT TAMPER WITH NOISE CONTROL SYSTEM To minimize the noise emissions from this product, Kawasaki has equipped it with effective intake and exhaust silencing systems. They are designed to give optimum performance while maintaining a low noise level. Please do not remove these systems, or alter them in any way which results in an increase in noise level.

Owner’s Manual contains those maintenance recommendations for your vehicle. Those items identified by the
Periodic Maintenance Chart are necessary to ensure compliance with the applicable standards.
