NOTICE: Improperly tightened wheel nuts can lead to To brake pulsation and rotor damage. avoid expensive brake repairs,evenly tighten thewheel nuts in the proper sequence and to the proper torque specification. \ 12. Then replace the wheel cover. Be sure position to the alignment pin on the cover with thenotch in the wheel. Applypressure around the edge of the cap to snap it in place. Incorrect wheel nuts or improperly tightened wheel nuts can cause the wheel to becomeloose and even comeoff. This could lead to an accident. Be sure touse the correctwheel nuts. If you have to replace them, be sure to get the right kind. Stop somewhereas soon as you can and have the' nuts tightened with torque wrench to lb-ft a 100 (140 N-m). Don't try to put the wheel cover on the compact spare tire. It won't fit. Store the wheel cover in the trunk until you havereplaced the compact spare tire with a regular tire. 1 NOTICE: Wheel coverswon't fit on your compact spare. If you try to puta wheel cover on your compact spare, you could damage thecover or the spare. 5-32 .
