Installing the Analog
Cable
To install the analog cable:

Connect one end of the RJ-11 analog cable to the RJ-11 analog port labeled
Line
on the 56K LAN Modem’s back panel, as shown in Figure 11.

Connect the other end of the RJ-11 analog cable to a POTS analog wall jack.
Connecting to a
10BASE-T Ethernet Port
To connect a computer to the 56K LAN Modem, do the following.

Insert one end of the 10BASE-T Ethernet cable into one of the four LAN ports on
the back of the 56K LAN Modem, as shown in Figure 12.

Insert the opposite end of the cable into your computer’s 10BASE-T Ethernet port.
CAUTION:
Connect only one computer to the 56K LAN Modem for initial
configuration. Once configuration is complete, you may connect the rest of the
computers to the LAN.
