TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE If the unit fails to perform as described in these Operating InstructIons, check the following guide. Wrong or no display appears on the remote contro/c q Connect the remote control firmly. Power does not turn on. q Connect the AC adaptor firmly. q Inserf the batteries correctly. q Recharge the rechargeable battery or replace the dry cell batteries. Operation does not start. c Close the disc holder completely. q Insert a disc. q Release the HOLD switch. q Connect the remote control completely. Erroneous display/operation occur. q Reset the unit by pressing the RESET button on the bottom of the unit. The sound noisy. q If the unit is close to a magnetic object, keep the unit further away from it. Sound mutes. q Place the unit on a stable surface with no vibration. Cannot record or edit. q Release the HOLD switch. q Connect the unit firmly. c Use a recordable disc. q Slide the protect-tab on the disc. Sound cannot be heard from the headphones. q Connect the headphones firmly. Recording date is not registered correctly. q Set the clock again. q Recharge the rechargeable battery or replace the dty cell batteries. 71
