84 Chapter 5 Software The following table describes the information in this menu. Parameter Boot Priority: 1 Boot Priority: 2 Boot Priority: 3 Quick Boot USB FDD Description Options Specifies the device with the highest priority during boot-up None, CD or ---- Specifices the device with the second priority during boot-up FDD or HDD Specifies the device with the third priority during boot-up. HDD or FDD Enables or disables quick boot mode. Quick Boot mode bypasses timeconsuming routines during POST to speed up the boot-up process. A logo startup screen is shown. Enabled or Disabled Specifies the boot-up mode for the USB floppy drive. Auto, Enabled or Disabled Boot Priority Sequence The Boot Priority section lists boot priorities (1, 2 and 3) for bootable drives in your computer. For example, the default value (1st:None, 2nd:FDD, and 3rd:HDD) tells the computer to bypass the CD, and search for a bootable floppy disk in the floppy drive. If it finds one present, it boots up from that floppy disk. If not, the computer continues by booting up from the hard disk.
