You should check that the old directory manager is turned on, has the Storage Manager Pro service (ASMProServer) or daemon running (see Starting Adaptec Storage Manager Pro on page 1-3), and that it is accessible on your network. Then try the above steps again. Moving the Directory Manager to Another System You can move the directory manager to another system. You may want to do this when you need to take the system that is currently the directory manager out of service. You can only move a directory manager to a system that is not currently a member of a management set, including a directory manager. 4-12
