Monitoring System Status 2 In the E-mail Settings dialog box, type the following information and click OK: - SMTP Server-This is the name of the server used for your mail service. - E-mail Notify From-This is the e-mail address the recipient sees in the notification e-mail. This is useful for users to help manage their e-mail correspondence. For example, this allows them to sort these incoming notification e-mail messages into a separate folder. - E-mail Reply To-This is typically set by the system administrator, but can be any e-mail address you want to use. Adding Notification Recipients To add recipients for Event Notification: 1 From the Dashboard, click Event Notification. The Event Notification dialog box appears. Note: If this is the first time you are setting up Event Notification, you need to first define your Event Notification E-mail Settings. 2 Select the tab that applies to the type of notification you want to set up: - Local-to be notified only about events on your local, stand-alone system. - Global-to be notified about events on all systems that are members of the management set. Note: You must use a global login account, and the system you are working from must be registered with the directory manager to be able to manage global accounts. Otherwise, the Global tab is not editable. 6-9

To add recipients for Event Notification:

From the Dashboard, click
Event Notification
.
The Event Notification dialog box appears.
Note:
If this is the first time you are setting up Event
Notification, you need to first define your Event
Notification E-mail Settings.

Select the tab that applies to the type of notification you want
to set up:
Local
to be notified only about events on your local,
stand-alone system.
Global
to be notified about events on all systems that are
members of the management set.
Note:
You must use a global login account, and the
system you are working from must be registered with
the directory manager to be able to manage global
accounts. Otherwise, the Global tab is not editable.
