Opening a web page or blog entry for editing from your browser Now you can use Contribute plug-ins to easily edit web pages and blog entries directly from a browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. You can make changes to your content from the web page or blog entry itself, instead of opening the Contribute application. Supported browsers and operating systems This feature is available on the following browser versions and operating systems: • Internet Explorer versions 5.5 and 6.0 on Windows 2000 (SP 4) and Windows XP (SP 2) • Mozilla Firefox versions 1.5 and 2.0 on Windows 2000 (SP 4) and Windows XP (SP 2) • Mozilla Firefox versions 1.5 and 2.0 on Mac OS X® (10.3.9) and Mac OS X (10.4.x). Installing the browser plug-ins in Windows The Internet Explorer browser plug-in is automatically installed when you install Contribute CS3 on your computer. When you launch Contribute CS3 for the first time on a Windows computer, you will be prompted to install the Firefox Extension plug-in. If you click Cancel, you can install this component from the following path: /SupportFiles/FirefoxExtension/FirefoxExtensionSetup After Contribute CS3 is successfully installed on your computer, the Edit in Contribute and Post to Blog plug-ins appear as buttons in a separate toolbar in the browser window. Note: If you have Contribute and still cannot see the toolbars, select View > Toolbars > Contribute Toolbar in your web browser. Opening a web page or blog entry for editing from your browser
Now you can use Contribute plug-ins to easily edit web pages and blog entries directly from a browser such as
Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. You can make changes to your content from the web page or blog
entry itself, instead of opening the Contribute application.
Supported browsers and operating systems
This feature is available on the following browser versions and operating systems:
Internet Explorer versions 5.5 and 6.0 on Windows 2000 (SP 4) and Windows XP (SP 2)
Mozilla Firefox versions 1.5 and 2.0 on Windows 2000 (SP 4) and Windows XP (SP 2)
Mozilla Firefox versions 1.5 and 2.0 on Mac OS X® (10.3.9) and Mac OS X (10.4.x).
Installing the browser plug-ins in Windows
The Internet Explorer browser plug-in is automatically installed when you install Contribute CS3 on your computer.
