Preparing the Camera Checking the Required Type of Power Source (Power Source Navigation) Using the power source navigation function you can check the recording settings that are available based on the lens/accessories attached, current recording configuration (recording format/frame rate) and the power source used. 29 Types of power source: Battery pack, PD-E1 USB Power Adapter and DR-E6C DC Coupler. Checking the Power Source 1 Select > [B System Setup] > [Power Source Navigation] > [Check the required power source.]. 2 Select the type of lens. 3 Select the recording format and frame rate combination (multiple selection is possible). • The required power source configuration is displayed. Checking the Recording Settings 1 Select > [B System Setup] > [Power Source Navigation] > [Check the available recording settings.]. 2 Select the type of lens. 3 Select the type of power source. • If you use a commercially available accessory compatible with the multi-function shoe (e.g. the XLR Microphone Adapter), check the [Power XLR Mic Adapter from Camera] checkbox when supplying power from the camera. • The available recording format/frame rate is displayed.
