Using Maintenance Functions s Using the Special Settings You can use some special settings that allow you to change the printer operation mode in the printer driver. Changing the printer operation mode 1 Open the Printer Properties dialog box, and then click the Custom Setting... button in the Maintenance tab. This displays the Custom Setting dialog box. 2 Change the printer operation mode, as needed. Set printer to ECP mode (when using the parallel interface only) Click this checkbox when you wish to use the ECP mode setting to operate the printer. You can use some special settings that allow you to change the printer operation mode in
the printer driver.
Changing the printer operation mode
Open the Printer Properties dialog box, and then click the Custom Setting…
button in the Maintenance tab. This displays the Custom Setting dialog box.
Change the printer operation mode, as needed.
Set printer to ECP mode (when using the parallel interface only)
Click this checkbox when you wish to use the ECP mode setting to operate
the printer.

High-speed printing
Click this checkbox when you wish to shorten the response speed of the
printer to enable high-speed printing.
