Other Problems s BJ Status Monitor does not open Windows Check 1 DOES YOUR PRINTER CABLE SUPPORT BI-DIRECTIONAL COMMUNICATION? Check the hardware speciﬁcations of your printer cable. Operation of the BJ Status Monitor requires bi-directional data transfer between the computer and printer. The printer cable must be capable of bi-directional data transfer. Check 2 IS THE BI-DIRECTIONAL OPTION SELECTED IN THE PRINTER DRIVER? Check the bi-directional option. 1 Open the Printer Properties dialog box from the Start menu. 2 Click the Details tab and click the Spool Settings button. 3 In the Spool Settings dialog box, click the button for "Enable bi-directional support for this printer."
