Removal and Replacement Procedures 2-33 Fans 1, 2, and 3 To remove fan 1: 1. Power down the server. See "Powering Down the Server" earlier in this chapter. 2. Remove the access panel. See "Access Panel" earlier in this chapter. 3. Remove the PCI riser board assembly. See "PCI Riser Board Assembly" earlier in this chapter. 4. Remove the center wall. See "Center Wall" earlier in this chapter. 5. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board. 6. Remove the two Phillips-head screws that secure the fan to the center wall . 7. Fans 1, 2, and 3
To remove fan 1:
1.
