Parameter Description Local AS Number The AS number that the local router is in. BGP Admin Mode Whether BGP is globally enabled or disabled. Maximum Paths The maximum number of next hops in an internal or external BGP route. Distance The default administrative distance (or route preference) for external, internal, and locally-originated BGP routes. The table that follows lists ranges of neighbor addresses that have been configured to override the default distance with a neighborspecific distance. If a neighbor's address falls within one of these ranges, routes from that neighbor are assigned the configured distance. If a prefix list is configured, then the distance is only assigned to prefixes from the neighbor that are permitted by the prefix list.
