3 Management The S3048-ON is used as a Top of Rack (ToR) switch, that aggregates all of the management connections. Each switch has a connection from the out-of-band (OOB) management port to the ToR, as well as each Isilon Node and PowerEdge server. The first Isilon node management connections are shown, each additional node is cabled similarly. This can be seen in Figure 9 below, all equipment in other racks is configured in a similar fashion. Management
