Brightness level -2 (filter 7) 3. Press the button to make your pictures 1 level lighter (1 is displayed). Press the button again to make your pictures 2 levels lighter (2 is displayed). Press the button once or twice to make them 1 or 2 levels darker (-1 or -2 is displayed). 4. Press the Brightness button again to save the setting. The word Brightness stops flashing, and your selected (or total) photo number is displayed again. 5. Press the large green Print button. Your photos are printed. Brightness level -1 (filter 6) Original photo Brightness level 1 (filter 4) Brightness level 2 (filter 5) Using Filters You can use filters to apply enhancements or special effects to individual photos. Nine filter effects are available, as listed below. (Four of the filters have the same effect as the brightness settings.) Filters work in all print modes except Index, on all types of paper. 1. Select your Print Mode and other settings and select the photo(s) you want to print. 2. Press and hold the Brightness button until Filter No. flashes on the Copies menu. 3. In the Select Photo menu, use the button to select the number of the picture that you want to print with a filter. 4. In the Copies menu, press the button to select the filter number you want to use: 1: black and white 2: sepia (brown tones) 3: high contrast 4: 1 level brighter 5: 2 levels brighter 6: 1 level darker 7: 2 levels darker 8: more vivid 9: sharper If you want to apply the same filter to all the photos you're printing, press and hold the Brightness button again until ALL appears on the select Photo menu. Then skip to step 7. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all the pictures you want to print with filters. 6. Press the Brightness button again to save your settings. The filter number disappears, but it remains in effect. 7. Press the large green Print button. Your photos are printed. 30

Using Filters
You can use filters to apply enhancements or special effects to individual
photos. Nine filter effects are available, as listed below. (Four of the filters
have the same effect as the brightness settings.) Filters work in all print
modes except Index, on all types of paper.
1.
Select your Print Mode and other settings and select the photo(s) you
want to print.
2.
Press and hold the
Brightness
button until
Filter No
. flashes on the
Copies menu.

In the Select Photo menu, use the
button to select the number of
the picture that you want to print with a filter.

In the Copies menu, press the
button to select the filter number
you want to use:
If you want to apply the same filter to all the photos you
re printing,
press and hold the
Brightness
button again until
ALL
appears on the
select Photo menu. Then skip to step 7.
5.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all the pictures you want to print with filters.
6.
Press the
Brightness
button again to save your settings. The filter
number disappears, but it remains in effect.
7.
