4. Reach behind the drive and gently push it out through the front of the bay; then pull it out of the slot. 5. Once you have removed the drive, you may want to replace the plastic faceplate by inserting one side of the plate, then gently pressing on the other side until it snaps into place. 6. If you removed the only IDE device connected to the interface the device used, you can disconnect the device cable from the main system board and remove it from the computer. 7. Replace the drive mounting bracket; see "Replacing the Bracket in the Computer" for instructions. 8. If you have finished installing or removing drives, replace the computer's cover; see "Replacing the Cover" in Chapter 4 for instructions.
