14 Installation instructions Connecting a gas dryer (skip for electric dryer) Refer to page 7 for tools required. Note: installation and service of this dryer must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier. Gas supply and installation requirements In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts: ■■ Installation of the dryer must be completed by a plumber or gas fitter licensed by the state. ■■ When using ball-type gas shut-off valves, the t-handle type shall be used. ■■ If using a flexible gas connector, this must not exceed a length of 3 feet in total. WARNING! Explosion Hazard Installations must be performed by a qualified or licensed contractor, plumber, or gasfitter qualified or licensed by the state, province, or region where this appliance is being installed. Use a new AGA or CSA approved gas supply line. Install a shut-off valve in an accessible place. Only use a gas shut-off valve approved for use within the state, province, or region where this appliance is being installed. Securely tighten all gas connections. If connecting to LP Gas, have a qualified person make sure gas pressure does not exceed 13" (330 mm) water column. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, explosion, or fire.
