16 Installation instructions Elevation adjustment ■■ The input ratings of gas operated clothes dryers are based on their operation at sea level, and need not be adjusted for operation at or below 2000 ft. (610 m) elevation. For operation at elevations above 2000 feet (610 m), input ratings should be reduced at a rate of four percent per 1000 feet (305 m) elevation above sea level. ■■ Installation must conform to all local codes and ordinances. In the absence of local codes and/or ordinances, installation shall conform to the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, or the Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code, CSA B149.1.
