Test for gas leaks Using two adjustable wrenches tighten all connections Fig.11 Tightening supply connections WARNING! NEVER use an open flame to test for gas leaks. ■■ Turn on the gas (open the gas shut off valve). ■■ All connections should be checked for leaks with a soapy, or equivalent solution. Apply a soap (or equivalent) solution to the connection points. If leaks are found, close the shut-off valve, re-tighten the joint, then repeat the test.
