6. Press the [Document Splitting] button. The "Document Splitting" screen appears. Configure the settings to split a file of scanned data into multiple files when the file size exceeds the maximum file limit. 1. In the "Max. File Size" field, enter the maximum file size at which a file is to be split into multiple files. The default setting is 45. The value can be specified within the range of 1 to 45 MB. The number of pages that can be saved in a file varies according to the resolution and color mode of scanned data. Approximate page file sizes are shown below. Page sizes are estimated for when the paper size is specified as A4, and the color mode and resolution are changed accordingly, from default scan settings. Actual paper size: A4 size (general catalog) File format: PDF Scanner paper size setting: A4 Resolution 150 dpi 200 dpi 300 dpi 600 dpi Approximate File Size of a Page (KB) RGB Color Grayscale Black & White 310 550 1250 5000 124 220 500 2000 z When the file size of a single page exceeds the specified maximum file HINT size, the page is saved as one file. z The file name format of split files is: "original_file_name-file_number-total_number_of_split_files" File numbers and the total number of split files are added in 4 digits.
